Bronchiolitis

I know, you just want to say "Bless you!" to that word... Apparently, bronchiolitis is the baby version of bronchitis and Ryan has it:( He has had a runny nose and a cough since Saturday evening and then got a fever on Monday so I called the doctor today to see whether or not I should bring him in. Even though we are basically in between healthcare right now (Tricare from AF is done and Matt doesn't get benefits through Continental until he has been there for 6 months) and we have to pay for doctors visits and whatnot out of pocket, I decided I would rather err on the side of caution, just incase it was more than a cold. I am glad I did take him in. They gave him a nebulizer treatment and sent me home with a nebulizer and a prescription for Albutirol (sp?!?) to do a couple more treatments today and then I am supposed to call in the morning to give her the status. The poor little guy's caugh is so sad:( He is in good spirits though. I am pretty sure that the whole thing has been harder on me than on him. It was his first fever and his first real illness afterall. The trials of parenthood....

Ryan is "So Big"

Ryan learned how to do So Big this weekend. We were so excited when he did it that we all said YAY and clapped. So, now often when we ask him how big he is, he puts his arms up in the air and then starts clapping. The joys of parenthood:)

Lights at Longwood

More Longwood

Longwood Gardens

We went to Longwood Gardens on Saturday to see the Christmas displays and lights. It was absolutely beautiful and we had a great time. Unfortunately, most of my pictures didn't turn out:( I will have to go another time when it is less crowded and use a tripod or something.

Spatula meets Lamp

The things babies find amusing.... Ryan played with this spatula and the hanging turn on chain for about 20 minutes. What a goof. He has a bad cold right now, I think I wipe his nose every 5 minutes. He is also drooling up a storm; I think he will probably have another tooth cut through any day now.

Playing with Sasha

These pictures are from today when Ryan and Sasha were playing. The other day though, Sasha was licking Ryan's face (which I don't let her do, but Matt does) and she got her tongue in Ryan's mouth (gross - I know). Ryan bit down on her tongue and she was trying to pull it out and he wouldn't let her. I didn't see it, but Matt did and said it was hilarious. Thankfully, Sasha didn't bite him or snap at him or anything. She finally got loose and went away, but later she was back licking him again. I am glad that they get along so well!

Fun in the Tub

10 Months Old!

My how time flies - I can't believe Ryan is 10 months old already. He is crawling up a storm, clapping, waving, playing peek-a-boo, going up the stairs and trying all sorts of new foods. We are so blessed - he is such a happy boy!

Fun in the Sun!

Matt and I took Ryan to the Bahamas for 2 days this week - the benefits of having Matt be an airline pilot.... :)

Bahama Baby!

Ryan didn't like the ocean, but he did like this little "lagoon" and the pool.

All that playing is hard work!

Ryan is 9 months old!

Ryan is creeping up on Winne the Pooh! My how time has flown - I can't believe he is already 9 months old!!! He has 7 teeth, is crawling all over, (including up the stairs) and is starting to try different people food. At his doctor's appointment this week he weighed almost 18 lbs and was about 27 1/4 inches long.

Visiting Corina, Jon, Mara and Tessa

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!

I wonder what is out there in that big world...

Ryan hanging out with Tessa.

I swear I didn't send him to the corner, he went there himself....

Roll Call

I have been trying to post some really cute pictures of Ryan (although I guess I think they all are!), but the blog site seems to be having technical difficulties. So, a friend of mine recently did this on her site - I love getting comments from people on the site and I am curious if anyone is actually looking at it, so if you are out there reading this and seeing what Ryan is up to, post a comment letting me know you are there, even just a simple hello. I will keep trying to post pictures.

Ryan has started pulling up on things and standing holding on them for awhile without us holding on to him. He is also learning to climb stairs - not sure how I feel about this... I have started occasionally giving him real food, just bananas and sweet potato so far, but he seems to like it.

Hayride

Ryan and I went on a hayride with some friends tonight. It was a lot of fun. Ryan really liked the hay:) The weather has finally cooled down - it was perfect fall weather!

More Cool Features

Another cool thing that Memory Manager can do is allow you to bascially erase things you don't want in the picture. In this picture I didn't want the cups and bottle and whatnot in the picture, so I "erased" them. This was my first attempt at doing this, so it isn't perfect, but you get the idea!

Cool

I have always loved the Creative Memories photo software - Memory Manager, but I am finding new reasons to love it. Check out what I did to this picture. It was a full color photo, but I was able to make everything black and white but the rose. Very cool!

8 Months Old

I can't believe Ryan is already 8 months old! He is definitely gaining on Pooh, as you can see! He has 2 teeth on the bottom and 4 on the top. He has the army crawl down and is trying to master regular crawling. He is starting to pull himself up on things, mostly Mom. He can get into a sitting position on his own.
In other news, (yes, there is life beyond Ryan) Matt finishes his training with Continental today! Yay Daddy!!! As of October 1, he is officially Mr. Crill, not Maj. Crill, at least until he works on getting hired by a guard unit. So, we are looking forward to seeing more of him - he will be home from Houston this weekend.
