It's hard being a baby

Look Mom, I'm gonna go up the stairs....
You are such a mean Mom, not letting me go upstairs!!!

Elmo hugs and stuff

Florida??? - Help!

I have a bug to go to the beach, probably in mid-March. The Carribean would be good, but it is more expensive for us to travel out of the country, so I am thinking Florida. I am having trouble deciding where though. I think I am between Ft Myers and Miami, but the other big cities are certainly an option. Basically, I want warm weather and pretty beaches. Something other than the beach to do would be good too. Sooooo, any suggestions!?!?!?

Fun at My Gym

Every two weeks our playgroup goes to the local My Gym for some free play time. Ryan enjoys playing and I enjoy chatting with the other moms.

CHEEEEEESE!

I love Ryan's cheesey grins like this:)

What do we have here?

Ryan learned how to open kitchen cupboards today.... I guess we know what we are doing this weekend.

Cheese please?

Ryan and Sasha both LOVE cheese. Here they are both begging Grammy to give them some.

Reading

Ryan has started to enjoy "reading" books on his own. He flips through the pages and everything. Being a serious book lover, I am dreading the day that he starts trying to tear the pages instead of just crumpling them. I try to give him board books to peruse, but he
seems to prefer regular pages...

Stow away?

Is Ryan trying to stow away in Daddy's laptop bag to go with him on his next trip?

Assorted Ryan photos

Happy Valentine's Day!

One of my friends and I cohosted a Valentine's Day Gala for the mommies group that we are in. There were 20-30 kids under 4 with their moms in attendance. Matt came along and was our "bartender". It was a lot of fun:)

Ryan's Stats

We had Ryan's 1 year check up on Monday. He is 19 lbs 6 oz (still need to wait a few more weeks to flip the carseat to forward facing...) and 29 inches long.

He loves to eat, pretty much anything and everything. When we put him in his highchair and start to bring food over to him he gets excited just to see it, which is very cute:) Then he just shovels it in, not as cute...

He is doing a funny crab walk on his feet and hands, surely walking can't be too far away.

We still have some problems with his sleeping, but right now things seem to be going fairly smoothly, knock VERY HARD on wood!

He is working on all 4 of his first molars, one of them is almost through.

He isn't as into reading bedtime stories as he used to be, which I am sincerely hoping is a stage that will end soon as it is one of my favorite times of the day.

Basically, Ryan continues to be an absolute joy who we simply love and adore!
